couple pieces from the spring/summer line of one of my favorite brands, public school.
whats not so steezy, though, is that public school is making a lower-end line of their brand for urban outfitters titled "black apple"... which is basically some of their old season designs with cheaper material (i.e. pleather)
dont listen to eskay. although the rest of the dunk contest was relatively weak.. nate robinson's dunk was well worth the attention. you try dunking on a 7 footer
but the buzz going around during the contest wasnt about this dunk contest, it was about next years dunk contest, as lebron james announced that he will be participating for the first time. someones bout to get shitted on
So the dunk contest was cool. I definitely expected everyone to come harder. Rudy Fernandez definitely surprised me, didn't know what to expect from that boy, but his 2nd dunk would have been better, if he ain't have like 10 attempts. J.R. Smith was definitely disappointing, I know this nigga got ups, but come on, the pass from the stands outstood his dunk. Not cool. Dwight was cool. The 12 foot dunk was impressive but didn't have the intensity that I expected like his side board alley oop, now that was a dope ass dunk. Nate did the Pacific Northwest proudly, by winning the contest, while his dunk over Dwight was cool, it was not worth all they hype. Sorry Jonas. Anyways the best part of the night was Nate's foamposite lites! Someone find those for me now!
Winners Circle threw a evening pre-party yesterday in honor of the legendary Murder City Devils back to back Reunion Concerts at the Showbox. My favorite local hiphop act as of late, Champagne Champage performed. Minus the cold temperature, it really felt like the beginnings of summer. Lotta people rolling through, drinking free booze outside, having a great time. Props to the homies JR and Spencer for throwing such a fun lil party.
